Job Title: Outpatient Veterinarian

Join a Mission-Driven Team

TAHO is a community-based animal welfare organization dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality veterinary care regardless of an owner's financial circumstances.

This position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys building lasting client relationships, practicing excellent medicine, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance in an outpatient-only setting. As a private, mission-driven practice, we prioritize exceptional patient care over corporate production goals, giving our veterinarians the autonomy to practice medicine based on what is best for each patient—not financial quotas.

What You'll Do

  • Provide high-quality outpatient care for dogs and cats, including wellness exams, preventive care, sick visits, and diagnostics.
  • Diagnose and treat common medical conditions while educating clients on treatment plans and preventive health.
  • Work closely with a highly skilled team of technicians and assistants, allowing you to focus on patient care rather than administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with a supportive, team-oriented staff.

Why Join TAHO?

  • Outpatient-only practice with no emergency call, overnight shifts, or weekend requirements.
  • Appointment-based schedule with dedicated office time and scheduled breaks.
  • Modern facility with in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, dental equipment, and exceptional technician support.
  • Private, mission-driven practice where clinical decisions are guided by patient needs rather than corporate financial expectations.
  • Supportive, collaborative culture that values quality medicine, professional autonomy, and work-life balance.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Access to medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid vacation and 6 paid holidays
  • Continuing education allowance and paid CE time
  • AVMA, OVMA, DEA, and PLIT dues paid
  • Technology stipend
  • Free personal pet care
  • State licensing and professional dues covered

Qualifications

  • DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited veterinary school
  • Active Ohio veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for compassionate, high-quality patient care
  • Team-oriented mindset

Experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply. While this position does not include a formal mentorship program, our collaborative team provides a supportive environment for professional growth.

If you're looking for a practice where you can provide outstanding medicine, serve your community, and enjoy the flexibility and support of a private organization without the pressures of corporate production metrics, we'd love to hear from you.
